District Cabinet Meeting Report
The 2-T3 District Cabinet Meeting was held at the Middle School in Fort Stockton on July 24, 2010. The meeting was called to order by the new District Governor Orlando Rodriguez. DG Rodriguez spoke on how to “sell” Lionism to the ones we come in contact with on a daily basis. He also spoke on the LCI President’s theme “A Beacon of Hope.” He encouraged the clubs within the district to schedule their projects and fund raisers a year in advance and then work that plan. The district Governor was followed by various reports by Cabinet Members and Clubs. After the general meeting adjourned a special meeting of the cabinet was held to find a replacement for the 2nd Vice District Governor who had resigned due to health reasons. Lion Sam Calderon, III of the Fort Stockton Noon Club was selected by a unanimous vote. After a wonderful lunch classes were held to help prepare the new club officers for their duties this year.
