The Odessa Tri-Service Lions Club was chartered on April 30, 1956, with twenty members. Since its inception, the Tri-Service organization has in turn sponsored two other Lions Clubs in the Odessa, Texas area. It has been and remains active in providing eyeglasses, hearing aids and other services to the community as it pledged to do. It is part of District 2-T3 of the International Association of Lions Clubs.
The Tri Service club is currently working on setting up a place for children to receive eye glasses for a greatly reduced price in Odessa. Watch this space for more details.
Four club members attended the District Training and Cabinet Meeting on October 4tb at the Inn of the Mountain Gods in Ruidoso, NM. Not only was meeting informative but the BBQ at the Flying J Wrangler Ranch was fantastic.
Do you know someone who would like to help the community while being part of the largest service organization in the world? Then invite them to join you at the next club meeting and let them see that being a Lion is fun and rewarding.
